Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series – SD-Access and Virtual Network Capabilities

1. Fabric Access Tunnel Support

   • Catalyst 9200 (standalone and stack): Supports up to 25 access tunnels for fabric-enabled access points.

   • Catalyst 9200CX: Supports 25 access tunnels for fabric-enabled access points when running Cisco IOS XE 17.9.5 or later.

   • Catalyst 9200L: Not supported as a Fabric Edge node for SD-Access Wireless.

   • Catalyst 9200, 9200L, and 9200CX: Do not support SD-Access Embedded Wireless Controller functionality.

   Note: In over-the-top fabric deployments planning to transition to fabric wireless architecture, be mindful of these access tunnel limitations during design and deployment.

2. Virtual Network (VN) Support

   • C9200-24PB-A and C9200-48PB-A models support up to 32 Virtual Networks.

   • These SKUs cannot be stacked with C9200 models that support only 4 Virtual Networks, due to compatibility limitations.
